Uninstalling Mamba

Follow these steps to safely deactivate and remove the Mamba plugin from your WordPress site.

1. Deactivate the Plugin

In your WordPress admin, go to Plugins → Installed Plugins, find Mamba, and click Deactivate.

2. Delete the Plugin

Once deactivated, click Delete to fully remove Mamba.

  • If prompted to remove data, it is safe to confirm.

3. CDN and Cache

  • Local page cache is automatically purged during uninstall.
  • External CDN caches (e.g., Cloudflare, Bunny.net) will expire naturally.

4. WebP / Server Rules (optional)

If WebP support was enabled on Apache, Mamba automatically managed .htaccess rules.

  • After uninstall, if you notice a leftover WebP block in .htaccess, you can safely remove it.

5. Media Optimizations (optional)

If you previously optimized images using Mamba:

  • Use the Revert Optimizations tool before uninstalling if you wish to restore original images.
